Tech Team
The Tech team are responsible for the complex work of setting up, running and dismantling all our PA, lighting and projection equipment every Sunday morning.
We start at 7.30am, fetching all the equipment out of storage. (Don't worry - we work to a rota, so you don't have to be there every week!) Then we lay out and connect all the cabling, power up and set all the lighting and sound levels and the video projection equipment. Doing this takes a mixture of brain and brawn; so whatever your ability level, we can find work for you to do.
After setting up, most of us enjoy a coffee, snack and chat from our Quench breakfast bar in the upstairs foyer while the worship team have their final practice.
During the meeting a team of 2-3 technicians and media team members look after the sound, lighting and video projection and record the message.
After the meeting it's 'all hands on deck' to pack everything away before the cinema starts its first film (ad hoc volunteers are often greatly appreciated at this point). Then it's down the road to enjoy another drink at the main Quench bar in the Hyper building.
