'Freely you have received, freely give.' - Jesus Christ
(Mt. 10:8)
Money
The Bible is often misquoted as saying that, 'money is the root of all evil.' In reality that verse (1 Tim 6:10) says, 'the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.' Money is not wrong of itself, nor does it have a monopoly of evil: it is how we use it that matters.
Our goal is to be a blessing to others. So, in addition to our activities as a church, we aim to give generously to a wide variety of organisations (and sometimes specific individuals) both at home and overseas. But we can only do this through the generous giving of our members and associates.
We encourage (but do not compel) Christians to give at least 10% of their income whenever possible, believing that if this was the starting point for those living by Old Testament law then we who enjoy God's amazing grace should be even more ready to share what we have.
In the near future it should be possible to make donations online via this page: but in the meantime, we would encourage you to give via the Sunday morning offering or Standing Order. And please remember that if you are a UK taxpayer you can enable us to receive 22% extra from the tax man simply by completing a Gift Aid declaration.
